Visit buracrew.com ↗Sofia Jelovac, founder of Buracrew, had an idea: a platform connecting charter operators with qualified maritime crew - skippers and hostesses - for yacht charters. It's a two-sided marketplace, which means two very different onboarding flows, two different sets of trust and verification needs, and a booking and payments layer that has to work cleanly for both sides. She needed a technical team that could turn that into a real, working product without her having to build and manage an in-house engineering team first.
A complete two-sided platform: separate profile and verification flows for skippers and charter partners, crew search with availability matching, booking requests, guest preference forms, in-app messaging, and an admin dashboard for oversight. On top of that, we integrated Stripe subscription billing end-to-end - checkout, a customer billing portal, webhook-driven state updates, and automatic booking-expiry handling - so charter partners could upgrade to paid "Pro" access with no manual work on Buracrew's side. We also built the public marketing site to bring both sides of the marketplace in.
Buracrew shipped as a live platform with real subscription billing running end-to-end - not a demo, a product handling actual charter partner sign-ups and payments. Sofia owns the full codebase outright, and continues to build on the foundation we delivered.
